Safeguarding at LFEC

LFEC takes safeguarding seriously. We are committed to care for, nurture and protect all individuals who come within our care and we are particularly aware of the needs of the vulnerable - especially children, young people and vulnerable adults.

We aim to ensure that all of our activities take place within a safe environment.

To this end, we have a Safeguarding Policy and a Domestic Abuse Policy which inform our thinking and the way that we organise our activities. Everyone who works with children, young people and vulnerable adults is subject to checks by the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and we have a rolling safeguarding training programme. We are committed to co-operating with statutory agencies to meet all of our safeguarding responsibilities.

We have a safeguarding co-ordinator and deputy co-ordinator who are responsible for all safeguarding matters within the church. We are also members of ThirtyOne:Eight (formerly CCPAS: Churches Child Protection Advisory Service).

If you have any questions regarding safeguarding at LFEC, wish to see our safeguarding policy or if you have any safeguarding concerns, please contact our safeguarding co-ordinator, Rebecca Jones, on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

All enquiries are treated in the strictest confidence.
